Becoming Gallup Strengths certified opens new opportunities to empower leaders and teams by focusing on what they do best. Here’s what the journey taught me.

One of the most exciting parts of my professional journey this year has been completing the Gallup Strengths Certification Programme—and I’m thrilled to now be accredited.

The programme brought together an amazing group of people, and together we explored how a strengths-based approach can transform leadership and team development. At its core, the idea is simple but profound:

  • The most effective way to develop and empower people is to help them leverage their strengths.

Too often, organisations focus on fixing weaknesses. While there’s value in being aware of our blind spots, the real power lies in building on what we naturally do best. When people understand and apply their strengths, they unlock energy, confidence, and potential that might otherwise go untapped.

Working through the programme reinforced how much opportunity there is to bring this mindset to leaders and teams I partner with. I’m excited to integrate Gallup Strengths into my work to help people not only grow but thrive.

A big thank you to Marie-Lou Almeida for her incredible facilitation, and to my talented cohort—Kelly Stuart, Lauren Ioane (Naylor), and Shannon Moananu—for making the journey so inspiring.

This certification isn’t just an achievement—it’s the beginning of new possibilities for helping leaders and teams achieve more by focusing on what makes them great.
