What happens when leaders commit to living their values—not just talking about them?
Recently, the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) brought together its Executive Leadership Team and senior managers for a powerful full-day programme: “Leading Our Vision and Values.”
Facilitated by Joan Mather, the day was immersive, interactive, and transformative. Leaders explored their own styles through Insights Discovery®, examined how culture is shaped by everyday actions, and developed practical strategies to role-model FRCS’s values consistently.
Key highlights included:
- Culture and values in action – reflecting on how values show up (or don’t) in daily interaction
- Collaborative action planning – teams co-created plans to embed values in their departments
- Peer coaching and personal visioning – leaders supported one another in crafting their leadership visions
What stood out most was the energy, openness, and genuine commitment of FRCS’s leaders. This wasn’t just a workshop—it was a collective pledge to lead with integrity, accountability, and respect.
The programme marks a significant step forward in FRCS’s cultural transformation journey, laying a strong foundation for the future.
